RAA Committee Update

Newly appointed committee members (L-R) Chaya Bratoeva, Colin Strydom and Mick Moloney

At the recent AGM, RAA announced plans to continue its membership expansion across Australia along with welcoming three new committee members and thanking two retiring members for their significant contribution to the organisation.

As RAA moves to represent the needs of regional design practitioners across Australia, we are pleased to welcome three new committee members - Mick Moloney based in Ballarat Victoria, Colin Strydom in Rockhampton QLD and Chaya Bratoeva of Stanwell Park, NSW.

Mick is the director of Moloney Architects, a studio of 7 that works on new residential, alts and adds and adaptive re-use projects all around regional Victoria. Colin is part of a small design focussed studio Design + Architecture, assisting in multidisciplinary sectors including commercial, educational, outdoor recreational, retail, industrial, community and residential. And Chaya is an architect and landscape architect with experience in design management for local and state government on public domain, community and cultural education projects. We are certain they will each make an important contribution to the organisation moving forward.

We would also like to thank founding committee member Stephen Johansson for his input in establishing the organisation and Matt Cooper for his work over the last couple of years, particularly in the advocacy area
