LIGHT - the essence of architecture

GENERAL

PROGRAM
The event program is available here and will be updated should any changes be necessary.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Regional Architecture Association's event 'Light - the essence of architecture' will be photographed and filmed for the promotional and educational purposes of the organisation. By attending, you confirm that you consent to yourself being photographed/filmed for this purpose. If you have any concerns about this, please contact Rhiannon on info@regionalarchtecture.net.au

CPD
RAA has identified CPD competencies covered across the Friday Symposium here and will provide all attendees with a certificate for formal CPD following the event. The Board of Architects requires participants maintain a record of learnings in relation to identified competencies and for these to be uploaded with the certificate.

Please ensure you bring your own paper and pen or electronic device to record your learnings.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
If you forgot to advise us of any dietary requirements on registration through Humanitix, please let us know ASAP by emailing info@regionalarchtecture.net.au

PARKING
Parking at the event site is limited (see diagram below) and we encourage car-pooling. RAA is happy to assist members to find each other if you want to do this, please email info@regionalarchtecture.net.au if we can assist. If interested in carpooling let us know where you’re staying by emailing info@regionalarchtecture.net.au and we can put you in contact with others similarly located (note by choosing this option you’re allowing us to pass on your email or phone details).

RAA WHATSAPP FORUM
RAA members can stay in touch with each other during and after the event by joining the newly created forum on WhatsApp. Link to join is available through the website’s member area.

Event registration is available from 4.30pm on Thursday 20th July (ahead of Welcome to Country and drinks around the fire).

WELCOME TO COUNTRY FOLLOWED BY DRINKS AROUND THE FIRE
Note: All welcome, no ticket required

Note: All welcome, no ticket required, but please note you will be responsible for your own dinner and drinks costs.

THURSDAY ART WORKSHOP WITH STEFAN DUNLOP
Stefan has asked ticket holders for this event if they could please bring a magazine to the art workshop (art, architecture or something which inspires them) that they are happy to use for collage.

Stefan is also happy to ferry a few people from Bark Architects’ in Tinbeerwah to his studio in Coolum for the workshop. Please contact us on info@regionalarchitecture.net.au if you would like to take him up on this generous offer.

THURSDAY PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP WITH HOSSEIN FARAHANI
Ticket holders for this event should bring their own camera. While having a professional camera, tripod and other accessories would be beneficial, even a smartphone can suffice if this is not available.

FRIDAY

EVENT REGISTRATION
Event registration is available 7.45am on Friday 21st July (ahead of 8.30am Symposium start).

COFFEE
The coffee van will be serving from 7.30am on Symposium Day, Friday 21st July. Please BYO a keep cup and water bottle (note the property runs on tank water which is limited).

FRIDAY SUNRISE YOGA WITH NOOSA FLOW
Ticket holders for this event should note that this event now starts at 6.30am to align with sunrise on the day. The ticket includes provision of a yoga mat and equipment as well as a post practice granola breakfast.

SATURDAY

SATURDAY HOUSE TOURS
Ticket holders for full and half day house tours should meet the bus at 8.30am at Halse Lodge. Note that the full and half day tours have now been combined as the one tour, with half day ticket holders finishing up at Marcus Beach for lunch with transport available back to Halse Lodge by 1.30pm approx.
