This one hour masterclass offers 1 CPD point, performance criteria addressed are 1, 5, 46 and 20 from the AACA National Standard of Competency for Architects 2021.
This presentation will summarise fundamental statutory payment entitlements and obligations of those providing architectural (and related) services within the NSW building (including residential) and construction industry. Circumstances where architects are “the payee” and “the payer” will be explored.
John has over 40 years experience in building and civil infrastructure construction and holds tertiary engineering (civil), business, environmental management and legal qualifications.
His skill sets include extensive multi-million dollar project management and procurement, contract administration, ‘contract specific’ planning, documentation and implementation, project quality, wh&s and environmental protection monitoring, ‘verification’ and auditing, claims preparation, processing and negotiation, and extensive construction dispute resolution experience.
As a certified adjudicator under ‘security of payment’ legislation in five jurisdictions (NSW, Qld, SA, Tas and WA) John has, during the past 12 years, adjudicated more than 250 matters involving a wide range of building and construction work and related goods and services; including related professional services (building and civil design, project management, architectural services and quantity surveying).
